Where it all began...
Creative Cakes started in the most meaningful place… my kitchen! My kids cheering me on and asking for wild, imaginative cakes I wasn’t even sure I could pull off at first. What started as simple birthday treats slowly grew into a true creative outlet for me. Mixing colors, sculpting little characters, experimenting with flavors… it became more than just baking. It became my calm place, my joy, and the thing that let me show love through something sweet.
Over the last 10 years, that hobby turned into a passion I genuinely enjoy. Every cake, cupcake, and cake pop is made with intention, care, and a whole lot of heart.
Every cake and cupcake I make is designed to celebrate something meaningful. Whether it is a birthday theme, a holiday moment, a favorite character, or a creative idea that pops into your head, each order is crafted with care, detail, and imagination. Every order is custom and my pricing varies based on servings, flavors, colors, and the level of design. I will walk you through the options so you can choose something that fits both your vision and your budget!

All cupcake orders are created specifically for birthdays, holidays, parties, school celebrations, corporate events, or any occasion that deserves something special. Each set includes coordinated colors, themed piping, and decorative accents that match your design.
My cake pops, pucks, and squares are crafted with the same love, detail, and creativity that go into my cakes. Every order is hand-made from start to finish, and each design tier reflects the amount of artistry, time, and materials needed to bring your idea to life. Whether you want something simple and elegant or fully themed and show-stopping, I offer flexible options and can always create something unique just for you!

My Creative Signature Cookies are soft baked, oversized, and packed with flavor. Each one is handcrafted with the same care and creativity that goes into my cakes and cake pops. These cookies are inspired by the fun, over-the-top style of gourmet dessert shops, but with my own homemade twist that keeps them comforting, nostalgic, and full of personality.

Please allow at least 2 weeks notice for all orders. Orders with less notice will include a rush fee. Holiday pricing applies to any order that is due before, on, or immediately after a major holiday, as these dates require additional preparation and scheduling.

All sales are final. Because each order is custom-made, no refunds, returns, or exchanges are offered under any circumstance. This includes situations where: You change your mind, You cancel your event, You order incorrectly , You fail to pick up your order, No one is available to receive a delivery, You provide an incorrect time, address, or delivery location, or any damage once delivered/picked up. If an emergency occurs on my end and I am unable to complete your order, refund will be issued.
Delivery is available upon request and must be scheduled in advance. Deliveries outside my local radius will incur a mileage fee. Mileage is charged at $0.70 per mile. The exact delivery fee will be provided at the time of ordering. Delivery fees must be paid with the deposit or final balance. If a delivery attempt is made and no one is available to receive the order: The order will be returned. No refund will be issued. A second delivery may be scheduled for an additional fee.
You are responsible for picking up your order at the agreed-upon time and location. If you are late, do not arrive, or attempt to change your pickup time without reasonable notice - availability cannot be guaranteed and no refund will be provided. Once you receive your order, you accept full responsibility for transporting, storing, and protecting the product.
Once your order has been picked up or delivered, I am no longer responsible for: Melting , Heat exposure, Improper storage, Transportation damage, Items left in a warm vehicle or direct sunlight. Please keep treats cool, upright, and handled with care.
Once the order has been picked up or delivered, Creative Cakes by Christena is no longer responsible for: Transportation-related damage - Dropping, denting, or mishandling the item - Heat or weather-related melting - Improper storage - Damage occurring at your event, home, or venue - Any issues arising after the product has left my possession.
Orders are confirmed only after the required payment has been received. Deposits: All orders require a 50 percent nonrefundable deposit - Rush, holiday, large-volume, or highly customized orders may require full payment upfront - Deposits are nonrefundable and secure your date, supplies, and production time. Final Payment: Due no later than 48 hours before pickup - Late or unpaid balances may result in cancellation without refund. Secure Payment Methods: Cash, Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, and Square.
All cancellations must be made in writing. More than 72 hours before pickup: deposit is forfeited but no additional amount is due. Within 72 hours of pickup: full balance is still due. This policy covers the cost of ingredients, preparation time, and work already started.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all order details before paying, including: Spelling, Dates and times, Quantities, Flavors, Designs, Pickup or delivery instructions. Changes after payment may not be possible and may incur additional fees.
All items are handmade. Slight variations in size, color, design, and shape will occur. Inspiration photos are welcome, but exact replicas cannot be guaranteed.
Creative Cakes by Christena reserves the right to photograph any products created and use those images for marketing, social media, and promotional materials - even if inspired by a customer-provided design.
This product was produced in a home kitchen not subject to state inspection. All items are prepared following safe food handling practices required for home-based food businesses in Illinois.
Products may contain or come into contact with: Milk , Eggs, Wheat, Gluten, Soy, Peanuts, Tree nuts, Food dyes, and other potential allergens. Customers are responsible for communicating allergen information to all consumers.
